Amanda Klaus

Construction Operations Manager

Amanda Klaus serves as Construction Operations Manager for Overland Construction Group. As a Construction Operations Manager, Amanda is responsible for: 

 

  • Provides administrative support to the OCG team and manages tasks associated with the construction completion, files and logs construction documents/reports/information, tracks and ensures achievement of construction related milestones, ensures all documents from draft through final stages are filed and accessible to third parties.

  • Coordinate with consultants and contractor to secure permits and licenses from appropriate authorities

  • Assists in notifying third parties regarding title issues and follow through for resolution.

  • Coordinate required state/city/investor/bank inspections pre/during/post construction with all teams.

  • Reviews and becomes familiar with plans and specifications to ascertain scope and complexity of the project.

  • Collaborates and oversees with third-party and corporate construction operations and schedule to ensure project deadlines will be met or exceeded.

  • Assists in transition activity of construction completion related tasks including utilities, certificate of occupancy, inspections, etc. 

  • Bridges connection from lenders and investors to construction and draw team.

  • Processes for draw payments and tracks project costs to ensure budget adherence.

  • Prepares agenda and serves as note taker for weekly and monthly corporate construction calls.

  • Updates project management software tasks from creation to completion.

  • Collaborate with third-party engineers, architects, contractors, etc. to determine the specifications of the project.

  • Logs all contractor and 3rd party firm construction submittals and review for approval.

  • Files and logs construction documents/reports/information.  

  • Prepares REAC submissions to State Agencies as applicable.

  • Ensures review and tracking of construction items related to warranty.

  • Ensures receipt and review of monthly physical inspection reports and follow up, as necessary. 

  • Responsible for electronic O&E manual receipt from contractors.

Prior to joining OCG, Amanda was a Paralegal for The Illig Family Enterprise Company in Leawood and in the Real Estate Development Practice Group at Polsinelli PC in Kansas City. She holds a bachelors in Pre-Law and Criminal Justice from Avila University, an associates in Paralegal Practice from Penn Valley Community College and a Real Estate Law Career Certificate from Ashworth College.

A fun fact about Amanda: she once ate dog treats on accident as she mistook them for animal crackers. In Amanda’s spare time she enjoys going to the lake with friends and family, volunteering and fostering for several local dog rescue groups in the area, and remodeling and flipping houses. 

 

Amanda lives in Raymore, MO with her 5 fur babes.. all rescues, 2 cocker spaniels, a cavalier king charles spaniel, a cocker cavalier mix and a chihuahua mix.
